I absolutely lost it when I heard the walnuts falling everywhere. 😂🤣😂🤣
Those Toyota air pumps make for great raft inflators
Wow!!!!!! Just wow!!!! Put the nuts in the woods/bushes and let another squirrel hit the mother load!
Insulation on wires is made with soy and rodents love it, squirrels will chew the wires also,
Toyota and their SOY BASED WIRING. Genius…
I haven't seen anything like this ever.
Had you left this master tech squirrel alone he would have done a walnut shell cleaning of the intake valves.
I hate mice especially the sneaky Little shits that hide in places only seen by us mechanics. Works faster than exlax. Yup not proud of it but a lot met my bb pistol. Lot of automakers use soybean stuff for insolation..food for critters .
Yes Toyota tried to use organic materials for the insulating material on the wiring mostly the soy based.
Turns out that so y based wire insulation is quite tasty to critters.
I suggest a FTC complaint.
If the FTC gets enough complaints on this issue a recall will happen and refunds for all the people with these Toyotas that have edible wiring might be nice if you're straight in the middle of the desert to know you have a food source under the hood but it might be slightly toxic.
Squirrels eat rubber and plastic? Vehicle must have been sitting for awhile unless the squirrel had on body armor to protect him from the heat. A lot of wire repair and hose replacement. Thank you SMA for another great Automotive repair video.
This was just an absolutely funny video and worthy of a 5 star review.
Apparently the Toyotas squirrel ejection solenoid wasn't working. There's usually a test for them under the special function menu. Ivan can tell you.
Actually, the scariest would be a very small rodent, as it's too often a deer mouse/white-footed mouse, for the most lethal variant of hantavirus. (more dangerous than rat) That is a genuine scare for rural areas especially, including in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Tiny poops, are too often the peromyscus genus mouse.
Hey Mr O thank you for all your videos and your lame jokes they're good to me I'm a 62-year-old retiree from GM technical assistance I started out working on garbage trucks for cat yum that taste after lunch when you get some of them crumbles in your mouth just wanted to introduce myself and tell you thank you for your education and videos young kids need to know this and I picked up a couple old time tricks from you and if I know any old time tricks I'll turn them on to you you can bring them out on your platform stay safe and sound and hopefully your family does well and safe
I did a 1974 Cadillac DeVille had the big 500 in it it came in as a no start flooded I unbolted the air cleaner which was the single wing nut to the top I had a hard time listening that I had to use a pair of pliers and it was packed full of dog food that thing must have ran up and down for a day and a half because that's as long as it was parked I don't know what had dropped it in there but that was as close as I've seen to what you just did so I've been through that process too bro but not through the fender well hope all the goodness for you and your family
25k on a 2012 means it sits a lot, and sitting a lot means that animals will nest in it if you're rural.
You guys have the red ones and we have the gray ones. In either case they love making nests in air intakes. We have oak trees by us with plenty of acorns. I took about a pound and a half of them out of my wife's RAV4 air intake. This guy's brother then went and filled my car's air intake as well. Thank God for the air filter with the wire mesh. Squirrels are one of the most incredible creatures on earth. Pains, but incredible.
I put a few moth balls in the filter box when I change filter and put/wedge a few near harnesses … and a few inside my Jeep on the floor in the rear … fresh Mint from the garden also works keeping the rodents away … all natural flea spray also helps as they contain lots of herbal oils they don't like
Baking soda and cornbread mix kills mice try it
Squirrel teeth never stop growing so they constantly chew on all kinds of materials to keep their teeth in check. Their favorites being car wiring harnesses and expensive, composite patio furniture. Ask me how I know.🤬
To bad if his house didn't get home one night
Mostly Bears, Coyotes,Deer & Moose in these parts…, & aside from a few Politicians…,There's still No Rats in Alberta 🙂
A couple years ago I was working on a 2500 Ram. Was just doing a typical inspection and the air box was packed to the hilt with corn feed. Turns out the customer lived on a farm lol. Good ol shop vac did the trick. Better than the dead squirrel in the cabin air box in a Buick Lacrosse a year before that lol. The customer said they thought there was a funky smell in the car 🤣
And to prevent reoccurence did you recommend cutting down the walnut tree?
3:20 😂😂😂 definitely never seen this before. Some squirrel thought he was fancy for having an iron tree with plenty of compartments.
This is just crazy! So glad this isn't a problem where I live. Also, after I had COVID, it took me about six months before I could smell poop again. And Doritos tasted funny for a long time too!
