The rugged engine sound is Dmax trademark. I have a 2009 model and i feel like i am driving a pickup.
Does the new dmax have rare diff lock?
Looking for a durable good 2nd hand truck budget R200…to R250k double cab but iam not sure which1 is best on these
2013 to 2014
Isuzu
Toyota hilux
Ford ranger
Please do a test with the 1.9 as well
"𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐧! "
We never see these effecient turcks in the U.S because they lower gas tax revenue used to make bike paths whlie al gore flies over saving the planet in his jet
Great review as always, nice bakkie but that roller shutter "drainage" is ridiculous and won't last a couple of knocks and haks.
Got the top variant here in the Philippines 2022 LSE model, but our top variant AT version doesn't come with Diff-Lock 🤬😡 only the Manual transmission got it. But it's a great car with great electronics. Love the truck.
Isuzu DMax will not be sold here in U.S. I saw one in dealer showroom last month in Costa Rica. Very impressed.
I enjoyed this review. The driver seems upbeat, friendly and well informed.
Enjoy 👍 They're a great truck! Great to see the minor differences to what we get in Australia! Have had mine for just over a year now, loving doing the build so far 🙂
An Isuzu isn't an isuzu without the rattling diesel engine motor…..that's what we love diesel Isuzu's for
Strong motor with no frills and well priced
Please review the SUV version,MUX 2022😭😭
Great review 👍🏾
I really like the cluttering sound of the dmax engine. Sounds cool to me.
These new reviews make me sad. I miss the older version of these. E.g. Mans would literally sit in the back to actually show leg room. Now it’s all stats, some cool one liners and a lot of voice overs. Still like the show though🥲
Iron was cheaper now you want to sell us parffin gallon vehicles with plastic bumbers with exorbitant prices
Great and comprehensive review!
How is it compared to Mazda?
I think you guys need to now review the D-MAX V-Cross and show all the features it has. The LSE is missing out on a lot of these features.
These are the worst Ute I have ever driven, had one for a work vehicle. Noisey, rough, cheap inside, unsafe on wet roads, never want to drive another one again
I just don't like the empty sound the doors make when closing
Agricultural to my mind means Tractor like 😅🤣😂
Heaps better than a ford ranger!! had so many problems with them!!
Please send me the link to your isusu vehicle
Hey man, can you review the 1.9l double cab as well ?😁
Do the Peugeot Landtrek next.
Think that its a decent bakkie but could do with some better looks
Dmax sound is my favorite diesel sound, my old 2011 2.5l is sounding like a purring cat and i love it
The bakkie bit…that's why it's called bakkie…🤣
Does it have apple carplay/android auto?
Adriaan Vermaak LOVE you 🤑😍🤔🇬🇼
I’m living in Australia from South Africa and for a while now I’ve had a lower end model which is a 3.0 2wd DC which costs 40k here which is around 450k in SA rand, I get an 8” screen with lane assist, adaptive cruise control, reverse camera and sensors as well as auto gearbox. Sadly for roughly the same price the SA market gets a 1.9 with no major features. It’s quite bad to say the least.
Can you please confirm if the bakkie get the 4jj3 new engine for the south african market?
Well that's what a bakkie sounds like.
Welcome to 2009!
I find it strange that the warranties are so bad on bakkies, I got a 8 year unlimited km's and 6 year 120K service plan with my 2022 Hilux, I did not ask for such a warrantee.
New Isuzu d/cab @ R770,000 …….. YOU MUST BE F ..ING STUPID TO BUY AN iSUZU FOR THIS MONEY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought that Australia got the low tech shit boxes. Looks like SA gets even less.
Indian market price
Opel izuzu
its nice
The Isuzu D-Max is also a nice bukkie to live with. On some reviews I have seen on the internet about this new D-Max is it has a center airbag between the front seats. I wonder if the South African ones has it too. Also, there is something quite interesting which I found about the previous D-Max. When one front tyer goes flat or if there is an imbalance of front tyer pressure, it doesn't affect the driving of the vehicle when driving straight. Even the steering feels as light as it does when both front tyres are balanced in pressure even under acceleration it just drives smoothly. I hope they carried that suspension design to this generation as well.
What it actually comes down to is quality, reliability, performance, spares and service backup and warranty plus value for money. The Isuzu in the UK has traditionally sold because it is the cheapest, certainly not due to its engine reliability, performance [we get the 1.9 diesel with Adblue] or best driving experience. Lots of disappointed 1.9 diesel owners and the six speed automatic is ten years behind the times also. Eight speeds makes a massive difference and should be the minimum today. Aisin, who supply the Isuzu auto box, have an excellent eight speed automatic and the only reason for not using it must be cost cutting. Other brands have between eight and ten speed automatics available and well proven.
Please do a full review of Toyota hilux 2.7 vvti double cab
It looks very good in red. Just like Ciro.
